- Handicap / Disabled Access accommodation: If you need wheelchair access and roll-in showers or a bathroom with grab rails you will find that these facilities may not always be available in the smaller Inns, B&B’s and Motels.
We have highlighted those accommodation providers that do provide handicap access but you will have to confirm with the provider that their facilities are suitable for your needs. Many accommodation websites are very unclear about what they do provide. You may see references to ADA; this is the "Americans with Disabilities Act" where bathrooms, access and facilities are built to ADA specifications.
- There are very few private houses with these facilities and they will probably be limited to some resorts or some longer stay vacation rental apartments attached to Inns or Hotels.
